More Against Sugar
If you have the desire for something sweet, eat a little bit (1 teaspoon) of KISST Organics raw, unfiltered honey!
If you have a candida problem, small amounts of fruit on an empty stomach are ok but not much! To remove abnormal candida yeast in the system, you must deprive it of food. Dark leafy green vegetables feed the body without feeding the candida. KISST Organics raw honey is also antibacteria, antimicrobial, antiviral and will help in the removal of canida albicans when consumed in small amounts. When consumed in large amounts it will still cause the pancreas to excrete insulin which forces sugar into your cells to be stored as fat.

I May Just Have To Eat My Words!
So, here's the scoop! I have been a HUGE proponent of drinking smoothies over juices for the fiber and nutritional content for many years! I even jumped up to a commercial blender about 4 years ago to get a better, more complete mix of my fruits and veges.
At this point I honestly have to admit my perception may have been skewed.
You see, I have had a couple of different juicers in the past. Mind you these juicers are ones that were given to me for Christmas, birthdays, etc because my family knows my need, want, desire to be as healthy as I can be. Well, those juicers were absolute junk. Sorry folks, I don't intend to hurt any ones feelers! The sad truth has to come out. If you are in the market for a juicer thinking you would like to be more healthy too, read to the end of this article before you jump on e-bay or run to the department store! Traditional home models of juicers create a LOT of waste in the dispersion of the pulp. I have an issue with waste of anything that might be usable.
I have connected with Drew Canole of Fit Life Tv. and Juice Up Your Life and the information, motivational promotions and encouragement that he provides has been absolutely outstanding. I also have to mention here, he's gorgeous. The guys might not appreciate this much but it would be the same for them if a super model like Cindy Crawford walked into the room. Drew has beautiful blue eyes that seem to light up on camera, that scruffy unshaven look is ok but he pulls it off very well and he's fit. He has the whole ripped abs thing going on and very nice bi-ceps. Enough of that, you get my point.
Eye candy is one thing but this man is promoting natural simplicity. I bought into it. I signed up for his alpha cleanse to see what it was all about. I paid less than $50 and really didn't get whatever miraclulous thing I was looking for. Therefore, I didn't do much with it. I began using more cucumber in my smoothies and more water to thin them down but overall nothing changed.
My husband (Dave) has had some health concerns over the years but he has hated, detested even abhored the look of my smoothies for as long as I have been making them. A few weeks ago, Dave had a night where his legs and joints were hurting him terribly. The only thing I could think to do for him was get some greens into him to help balance the ph of his body. He forced down a watered down smoothie of mixed greens (no fruit) and he made it through the night much more comfortably. I drank the juice that was left over and it wired me! I was up for the rest of the night. This got me thinking more about juicing and how it goes straight to your blood stream basically bypassing the digestive process where even the little amount of fiber in smoothies has to be broke down before our bodies can use it.
Needless to say, since it seemed to help Dave. He got another one the next morning and every morning since! He has complained like you would never believe but I hand it to him, he drinks it, I am happy! He also hasn't been up complaining about hurting in the night!
Here we go.....I decide I have to buy a juicer and give this a try. I'm a conventional girl and I am NOT going to settle for another department store juicing machine so I start comparing commercial grade masticating (the process by which food is crushed and ground by teeth) juicers. I settle on a Champion brand juicer and order a used one on e-bay for $140. Regular price is right at $250ish.
It came in the mail yesterday, in excellent condition just like the ad stated. I washed it up and got it ready to go and this morning, I made my first juice (for Dave of course), he gets to try it first! I'm not stupid!
I cut up half a cucumber, 1/2 inch onion wedge, 1 medium tomato, 7 or 9 baby carrots and 2 stalks of celery. The juicer worked better than I had imagined! There was very little pulp that came out and doing that kind of thing is always fun! I handed the 16 oz glass of juice to Dave and he drank it down without adding salt and said, "That's good!" Just a couple of tablespoons left in the bowl that I drank and I had to agree, it was not only good, it was very good!
Moving on, I made me one but the carrots were gone so I used the other half of the cucumber, 1/2 wedge of onion, 1 medium tomato, 1 radish, 1/2 inch wedge of beet and 2 stalks of celery. Dave actually asked if he could have some! (YAY, I am winning!) Here you have to take into consideration, Dave is a meat eater. Occasionally he will eat potatoes but his primary diet is meat, meat and more meat (iiCK!!)
This glass of juice was just as good but different. I am pretty sure it was the beet that added just a hint of sweetness that was ok but I liked the first one better. All in all this was a huge success! 32 ounces of juice with less than 1/2 cup of waste in the pulp which could be used to make crackers or feed chickens if you have them or it could be added to the compost pile. The best part, Dave is getting in his veges and this just tickles me as red as a beet! What a great start to the day! I even told him that I would make him some fresh apple juice tonight! I think he's as excited as I am!

Hypochlorhydia (Low Stomach Acid)
Many people struggle with heartburn, acid reflux and indigestion making antacids a multi million dollar industry. What most of these people find is that the acid really never goes away and they wind up taking more and more antacids along the way. What is actually happening is called Hypochlorhydria or low stomach acid.
People with symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn, burping, gas, bloating, or nausea, after eating very likely have a low stomach acid issue.
People diagnosed with gastrointestinal issues, especially inflammatory bowel diseases, Celiac Disease or IBS are at a higher risk of having stomach acid problems. If you’ve made several diet and lifestyle changes and you are still not seeing the results you want, low stomach acid might be holding you back.
How hypochlorhydria hurts you:
Proper levels of stomach acid are needed to adequately absorb many nutrients including minerals (iron, copper, zinc and calcium), vitamin B12, folic acid and proteins.
Stomach acid is also a crucial part of the immune system. The acid barrier of the stomach during normal states of health easily and quickly kills bacteria and other bugs that enter the body. It also prevents bacteria from the intestines from migrating up and colonizing the stomach.
Appropriate stomach acid levels are crucial for our immune system and for adequate nutrient status both of which support total health. Here are 3 signs that you might be suffering from Hypochlorhydia (low stomach acid) 1. You don’t feel good when you eat meat. You may feel sluggish, nauseated or bloated. this is due to not having enough stomach acid to break down the dense proteins. This is also an area that is more common in women than it is in men.
2. You experience frequent acid reflux after eating. It’s easy to assume that high stomach acid levels cause heartburn or GERD. But that is simply untrue.
3. You burp, fart, or get bloated after eating
These symptoms are good indications that your digestion is suffering. The likely situation is the food you ate is being fermented by bacteria and bacterial overgrowth is causing distress in both your stomach and intestinal tract. The acid levels aren’t high enough to begin dumping the food into the intestines.
Now here's the good news!
Alleviating low stomach acid is a relatively easy and inexpensive fix! Most people find that taking 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar in an 8 oz glass of water 5 to 10 minutes before each meal is an almost miraculous remedy for this uncomfortable and unhealthy situation. Most will also find that taking raw apple cider vinegar when they do get heartburn or acid reflux will cause it to dissipate much more quickly than taking ant acids of any kind.

Top 10 cancer-fighting foods
By Sophie on
We are making vital choices that impact our health every time we go grocery shopping. We know which foods to avoid, how about taking a close look on selecting the right foods?
The obvious thing is to think about what we could “remove” from our diet. What if instead we could “add” foods to our diet that could boost our body’s defense system? What should we eat to defeat cancer? Makes sense?
The obvious thing is to think about what we could “remove” from our diet. What if instead we could “add” foods to our diet that could boost our body’s defense system? What should we eat to defeat cancer? Makes sense?
Cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, to name a few, share a common denominator: faulty angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is the term for the process our body uses to grow its blood vessels.
Cancer-fighting foods contain natural substances that work by cutting off the blood supply feeding cancer cells. Without a blood supply, cancers cannot grow. With the right foods we can starve cancer and keep the process from happening.
Foods that have cancer-fighting and starving properties:
1. Organic arugula is a champion. It is an anti-cancer cruciferous green and contains two cancer fighters called kaempferol and quercetin. Researchers have shown that diets containing arugula can reduce the risk of lung cancer.
2. Organic radicchio is a powerhouse. A serving has 10 percent of your daily value of folate, which is essential for healthy cell building, and contains the compound intybin, which helps with digestion and is known as a liver detox aid. Radicchio, contain a substance called inulin, which naturally helps to regulate blood sugar levels.
3. Organic tomatoes are a must. They contain Lycopene, the other common name is rhodopurpurin.
Lycopene is an antioxidant compound that gives tomatoes and certain other fruits and vegetables their color. Lycopene helps cancers of the prostate, lung, and stomach.

4. Organic squash should be in your shopping basket. They contain two cancer fighters, lutein and zeaxanthin. Diets high in squash have been shown to reduce the risk of a cancer of the lymph system called Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
5. Organic bananas are a favorite as they also contain cancer fighters. They are called catechins and delphinidin, and studies have shown diets rich in bananas can reduce the risk of breast cancer.
6. Organic oranges, tangerines and clementines have hesperidin and naringenin. They are found in the juice. Researchers have shown they can reduce the risk of esophageal cancer. But don’t forget the zest, as it contains antioxidants too.
7. Fish: Wild Alaskan Salmon is the ultimate choice, but Calamari is a close tie. They contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids that are not only good for your heart but they also are antiangiogenic and can starve cancer cells. Salmon is also rich in Vitamin D, known to fight breast cancer.
8. Organic garlic and the Allium Family are powerful. Garlic belongs to the Allium family/class of bulb-shaped plants, which also includes onions, chives, leeks, shallots and scallions. They are all potent cancer-fighters. Yet, garlic is unique because of its high organic sulfur content, arginine, oligosaccharides, flavonoids, and selenium; all of of which are beneficial to health. Regular intake of garlic can reduce cancer of the stomach, colon, esophagus, pancreas, and breast.
9. Organic green tea is the drink of choice. It contains polyphenol compounds, particularly catechins, which are antioxidants and whose biological activities are relevant to cancer prevention.
10. Raw, unpressed and organic olive oil is liquid gold. It contains cancer-fighting polyphenols, which give the oil its unique taste. The stronger the flavor of the oil, the higher the level of its polyphenols. It also has high levels of oleic acid, an anti-cancer fatty acid.
The green rule remains: support your local farmers and eat fresh. Do not fry, use natural salt, avoid refined sugar and animal fat.

#6 Milk thistle
.
Your liver is like the main housekeeper for your entire your body. It constantly works to clean and remove all the toxins you put into it, from chemicals in the foods we eat to air pollution, it is the first line of defense to keep all of our internal organs and systems running smoothly. The modern diet, environmental pollutants, and our increasing dependence on toxic personal care products have put our livers on serious overtime.
For this reason, it’s important to know how to clean and take care of your liver thoroughly. effectively and naturally.
1. Warm Lemon Water - Warm lemon water is a great way to detox your liver every single morning. This isn’t your typical lemonade, so don’t add sugar, artificial sweeteners or anything else. Just purified water and a healthy dose of fresh lemon juice.
2. Garlic - Add some garlic to your cooking or thinly slice a clove into your next salad. Garlic contains sulfur compounds that can help activate enzymes in the liver. It contains allicin and selenium, which are both good for liver protection
3. Avocados - As if you need another reason to add avocados to your diet, a Japanese study found that avocados contain compounds that can protect the liver from damage.
4. Cilantro - This versatile herb can be added to just about any dish, including salads or smoothies. This herb can help remove heavy metals from the body, something your liver could be struggling with right now.
5. Turmeric - Another powerful spice with a long list of benefits, turmeric is said to not only protect the liver from damage, but also encourage regeneration of liver cells. In addition, it increases natural bile production and aids in keeping the body toxin-free.
6. Milk Thistle (Silymarin) delivers exceptional anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits to your liver. It helps to rejuvenate liver cells and support healthy liver function. Milk thistle is supportive of overall liver health and efficient at cleansing and strengthening the liver. Milk thistle is used effectively for both preventative medicine and as an effective cure for liver diseases when used in combination with diet and lifestyle changes.
7. Artichokes are a member of the milk thistle family. As a natural diuretic and choleretic, artichokes stimulate bile production, improve gallbladder function and aid in a more efficient breakdown of foods for overall improved digestion.
One of the major benefits of artichokes to your liver is that they are a natural defense against hepatoxicity [toxicity of the liver]. They guard your liver cells from damage caused by outside pollutants, carcinogens and toxins.8. Dandelion roots are used for cleansing the liver. Compounds in the root cause an increase in bile production. The increase in bile helps to improve digestion. The increased bile production also helps the liver to digest foods and remove toxins quickly and efficiently cleaning the liver. Dandelion is also full of vitamins and nutrients, which promote hepatic healing.

Stagnation:
1. To become sluggish, uncaring, lazy
2. Cease to flow or move; become stagnant
3. Cease developing; become inactive or dull
4. To be idle: exist in a changeless, hopeless situation
KISST Organics
2. Cease to flow or move; become stagnant
3. Cease developing; become inactive or dull
4. To be idle: exist in a changeless, hopeless situation
Are you stagnating?
Stagnation can start at work, in relationships, your health, spiritual life or for that matter, any area of your life. If it has become dull, sluggish, boring....you need to make some changes!
In order to grow we have to make changes. For most people change is difficult because we are comfortable. We know the situation and how to face it each day. BUT, what if there is something better? What if by getting up and walking for 15 minutes each morning, you find that you have more energy and a better attitude as the day progresses? What if, you make the necessary changes in your relationships means that you don't despise going to work or seeing the person you are lying next to?
We cannot change another person or someone else's situation. We cannot even help them unless they are willing to accept help and are also willing to help themselves.
So we must focus on what we can do to change where we are, how we adapt, how we accept or how we change.
Create some excitement!
Change it up!
Add some color to the situation!
Live your life! Love your life!

The Liver, Life, Love and Longevity
Our body gives us signs and symptoms when something is out of line or going wrong. These symptoms are designed as a warning system. A warning system is generally put in place so that a person can take necessary precautions to avoid danger or further damage. More and more, we should pay attention to our body and determine ourselves what it is telling us. An important place to start is the liver, and it always provides unquestionable signs when we are doing it damage.
Signs of liver damage
The liver carries a lot of responsibility as the primary filter for our body system. The liver works to protect other organs by removal of toxins and chemicals storing or removing anything that might cause damage.
Does your liver need help? If you have any of these signs of symptoms, it does.
- Puffiness between eyebrows
- Unable to tolerate cold in winter (this could also be related to thyroid)
- Feel feverish and find summer very uncomfortable
- Hemorrhoids
- Coated tongue (this can also be related to thyroid/candida yeast)
- Bad breath (this can also be related to candida yeast)
- Excessive sweating
- Dark urine
- Small red 'spots' the size of a pinhead that come and go in various parts on the body
- Skin problems such as eczema, acne, hives, itching, rashes. Skin may have dark pigmentation or spots on face, back of hands, forehead, or around the nose
- Jaundice (yellowing of skin)
- Eye problems (sensitivity to light, moving spots, double vision)
- Whites of eyes become yellow
- Loss of weight
- Obesity
- Sinus and tonsil issues
- Alternating constipation and diarrhea
- Headaches, dizziness, and shivering
- Loss of appetite
- Depression
- Mental outbursts
- Inability to concentrate
*Your liver is your first line of defense but many of these symptoms are associated with other health problems as well. Consult your holistic health care practitioner for more assistance.
How did this liver damage occur?
Since our liver is a large filter, everything we consume or take in through our mouths, skin, nasal passages, etc. must pass through it. The standard American diet (SAD) is every bit a problem. Sad doesn't even begin to cover it. Living in an area where you breathe the fumes from vehicles, factories and other environmental pollutants also takes effect.
If you have never completed a liver detox,
-Your liver is storing remnants of drugs, vaccines, birth control, and prescriptions that have been taken throughout your entire lifetime.
-Fats from meat, dairy and fried foods, as well as flour products, weaken the liver
-Improper food combining can cause a weakened liver state
-Extreme fatigue and lack of proper sleep can also weaken the liver. If you find you are sleepy after eating, and/or feel wide awake at 1 or 2 a.m., you have sustained liver damage.
How do we heal the liver?
It's quite simple to put on paper, perhaps not as simple to implement. Our liver requires a thorough house cleaning so to speak and then it needs normal maintenance to keep it functioning properly. Quite simply, diet and lifestyle choices to avoid toxins present in our food, air, water, and personal care products is the key to a healthy liver. In addition we should also strongly consider:

Soy & Wheat
Soy and wheat have surpassed sugars and dairy and have actually become the two biggest problems in our food supply negatively affecting our weight and long-term health. Both nutrients are practically unavoidable when eating any kind of processed foods and each is profoundly inflammatory, immunotoxic and neurotoxic.

Obamacare To Punish The Healthy
(NaturalNews) According to an analysis just published by the Wall Street Journal, healthy people will pay double or triple their current health insurance rates under Obamacare. Rates for those with chronic disease, however, will be reduced as all the healthy people subsidize their disease lifestyles.
The net effect is that people who choose to follow a healthy lifestyle -- eating well, taking nutritional supplements, exercising and avoiding junk foods -- will be financially punished by the federal government while those who choose to follow a disease and sickness lifestyle -- eating junk foods, taking meds, refusing to exercise, etc. -- will be rewarded by government.
This is the essence of socialized medicine: punish responsible citizens while rewarding those who refuse to take care of their health.
But the premise is utterly false. Health is almost never a matter of luck. It's a matter of cause and effect. What you eat, what you're exposed to, what you absorb and how much time you invest in exercise almost entirely determines the health outcome you experience. Choose to eat healthy foods and you get vastly improve health outcomes. Choose to exercise on a daily basis (even with something as simple as walking), and you also get vastly improved health outcomes.
The Obama administration claims to be "pro choice" on the issue of abortion, yet it denies the existence of "choice" when it comes to personal health. Why is that?
Obamacare is actually designed to punish you for making wise choices about your health. It actually creates a financial disincentive for people to take care of their own health, as it allows people to conclude, "Well what does it matter whether I eat well? The government covers my health insurance costs now, so even if I get a disease, it's all paid for."
Seriously, many people actually think that way, and Obamacare encourages more and more people to abandon healthy eating as a form of disease prevention which used to be tied to economic savings. Now, instead, it costs you more to be healthy. So the economics are upside down.
The upside-down economics of ObamacareThis is the new America: a nation where you are rewarded for being sick, or addicted to junk foods, or sitting at home watching television while sipping liquid ice cream all day long. Meanwhile, the burden of actually paying for all this falls on the shoulders of the ever-shrinking few who actually make informed decisions about their own personal health and therefore tend to be far healthier than the norm.
When governments intervene to such extremes, twisting the laws of economics to the point where up is down and down is up, it only leads to enormous confusion and poor decision making on the part of consumers. A sensible health care system should reward people for making smarter investments in their own health. Those who take responsibility for their health and choose to eat well, exercise regularly and avoid toxic chemical exposure should pay LESS for health care, not more.
In a sensible system, there would be a strong economic disincentive for living a lifestyle of eating junk foods and sitting on the couch all day. But apparently, even recommending that people are responsible for their own health is a violation of political correctness which says that "you can't blame people for their own actions." Criticizing people for making poor decisions about their own health is strongly condemned in today's upside-down culture. Today, we are all encouraged to REWARD poor decision making at every level: personal health, personal finance, government regulation and even bankster bailouts, where the government rewards people who lose trillions of dollars by giving them trillions more!
Get cancer, win $100,000!So don't be surprised if Obamacare actually announces a disease reward system where Americans get cash prizes for being diagnosed with cancer. "Get cancer, win $100,000!" will be the new motto, because the average cancer patient is worth over $1 million in revenues to the medical system.
"Get diabetes, win $50,000!"
"Get Alzheimer's, win $200,000!"
And sure enough, where there is a reward, people will find a way to achieve it, even if it means killing themselves with junk food and chemicals.
So all of you who choose to take care of your health and make wise decisions about your diet, exercise and personal care products are about to be economically punished by Obama. You will have to pay double or triple your current rates, and the worst part is that your money will be used to economically reward those who choose to live a life of junk foods, TV watching and toxic personal care products (shampoo, soap, detergents, deodorants, cosmetics, etc.).
This is essentially the U.S. government forcing taxpayers to subsidize disease-promoting lifestyles. And because more and more Americans are getting sick from all the "death culture" foods and products in the marketplace, an increasing financial burden will be place on those who take care of their health. So we become a society of people supported by the healthy who are dragged down by junk food eaters and med-heads who refuse to take responsibility for their own health.
This is not a formula for making America healthier. Rather, it is a recipe for a sickness disaster. And thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court decision on the "individual mandate," now you can't even opt out of the system. You are forced -- at gunpoint thanks to an army of new IRS agents who are being trained with AR-15s -- to pay into this system that rewards sedentary junk food lifestyles.
Is it any wonder America's health keeps deteriorating while the profits of drug companies and cancer centers keep multiplying?

This is the essence of socialized medicine: punish responsible citizens while rewarding those who refuse to take care of their health.
Disease is a matter of cause and effect, not luck
Obamacare, like all socialized medicine systems, is based on the false premise that health outcomes are a matter of pure luck. Disease just "randomly strikes people," the thinking goes, and individuals have nothing to do with their own health. This false belief fits nicely with the financial interests of Big Pharma and doctors, of course, because it puts the power of health in the hands of corporations and medical personnel.
